Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our Catalogue, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on “Order” and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
We accept credit card and bank debit card payment. (ie. VISA, Mastercard, Switch & Delta)
Invoice With Order (UK schools, outdoor centres & councils) is available on the strict understanding that the payment terms are 7 days. Extended credit terms are not available. This option is only available with an invoice and delivery address within the UK.
COMPASS POINT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ASK FOR PAYMENT BEFORE DISPATCH for bulk purchases or DELIVERIES TO AN OVERSEAS ADDRESS. Use INTERNATIONAL SWIFT TRANSFER in GBP sterling to our bank, details supplied on request.
All prices are in GB Pounds Sterling. If you are shopping from outside the UK the transaction will be debited in Sterling and your bank will make the conversion to your local currency, which is then shown on your bank statement. We have no influence on the exchange rate prevailing at the time of purchase.
We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Back ordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, mail or SECURE VIA OUR WEB SITE.
Shipping And Handling
Carriage is based on the TOTAL PACKED WEIGHT OF THE ORDER.
Shipping charges include postage, packing & insurance. (There is no handling charge)
Standard service is Royal Mail post or parcel depending on weight
Special Delivery & Next Day carrier is available in the UK for urgent / valuable orders (Guarantees delivery before 1200 hrs the next working day for most areas) Some Scottish highlands & Islands are a two day service.
Please let us know if the goods are NEEDED URGENTLY.
A person does need to be present to accept delivery of next day & two day packages.
We aim to process & dispatch your order within two working days, subject to availability (excluding weekends & bank holidays), although it may take a little longer during busy periods such as Christmas.
APPROXIMATE delivery times from dispatch:
We will endeavour to keep order processing time to a minimum but please allow some time. Please let us know if items are needed urgently, we may be able to speed things through. You are welcome to send us a separate short email to highlight urgency.
If items are out of stock this will cause some delay but we will email to let you know this (there have been cases where unbeknown to us emails have not been received by the customer, this doesn’t happen very often.)

Second class 3 – 4 working days
Special delivery upto 10kg, guaranteed next day (some remote areas of Scottish highlands & Islands 2 days)
Next day & two day delivery requires a person to be present to sign for the delivery
Next day carrier upto 15kg (some Scottish Highlands & Islands carry an additional charge of £16.00, ‘phone for details)
Two day carrier upto 15kg (some Scottish Highlands & Islands carry an additional charge of £16.00, ‘phone for details)

To Eastern Europe: 4 days
To outside of Europe: 5 – 7 days

To outside of Europe: 8 weeks
If an item is not in stock, we will place it on back order for you and dispatch as soon as possible.
For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 20% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free and you should click the EXEMPT BUTTON at checkout to reduce VAT to zero . NOTE: Exempt VAT only applies to countries outside the EU & overseas UK armed forces where deliveries are to outside the UK.
Credit Card Security
We know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using our shopping system over the Internet. All credit card numbers are securely collected by SagePay and Paypal.

We aim to provide you with complete satisfaction. If you are not entirely happy with your purchase for any reason, please return it to us in a new and unused condition within 14 days and we will either exchange the item or provide you with a refund for the product – and that’s a guarantee.
Every effort is made to keep the web site up to date however there are sometimes delays in implementing price changes both up and downwards.
Prices are subject to alteration without notice.
Mobile Shop Stock
All items sold are new. However the Compass Point mobile shop attends races in open country and some slight soiling may occasionally occur on studded footwear that has been tried on. We will always try to avoid this situation for mail order but, our experience has been that customers are happy in the knowledge that the product is new and unused. As always we will refund if you are not satisfied with the product.

Please allow a minimum of two weeks FROM OUR RECEIPT of warranty claim items, this allows time for assessment of the problem and in many cases for the item to be forwarded on to the manufacturer/distributor.
